Job Opportunity: Behaviour LSA

Location: Greenwich, London

Salary: £85 to £100 PAYE

Contract Type: Full-time

Are you passionate about supporting children with challenging behaviours and making a positive impact on their lives? A School we are currently recruiting for located in Greenwich, is looking for a dedicated and resilient 1:1 Behaviour Learning Support Assistant to provide tailored support to students with behavioural difficulties.

As part of our close-knit, supportive team, you will work one-to-one with a child who requires additional assistance to manage their behaviour, helping them to engage positively in school life and achieve their potential.

Behaviour LSA Key Responsibilities:

Provide focused 1:1 support to a student with challenging behaviour, helping them access the curriculum and develop positive coping strategies.
Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques to support the student’s emotional and social development.
Assist the class teacher in delivering individualised learning plans, adapting lessons and activities to suit the student’s specific needs.
Foster a calm, safe, and structured environment that promotes the student’s well-being and positive behaviour.
Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to monitor progress, review targets, and adjust interventions as needed.
Build a trusting relationship with the student, promoting self-esteem, confidence, and emotional regulation.
Maintain detailed records of behaviour incidents, interventions, and progress, ensuring open communication with the wider support team and parents.

Behaviour LSA Job Requirements

Experience working with children who display challenging behaviours, ideally in a school or educational setting.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach with a genuine passion for supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Knowledge of behaviour management strategies, including de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely with teachers, support staff, and external professionals.
Resilience, flexibility, and a positive attitude, with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the child.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
