Property Maintenance / Waste Management

Our client manages several residential blocks within Woking and they are looking for someone to be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of waste management processes.

This role is working on-site 5 days a week (rota basis of Monday to Friday one week and Tuesday to Saturday the following week) from 9.00am to 5.30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collect cardboard and other waste and dispose of it properly.

* Ensure that bins are positioned correctly under the bin chute for efficient waste disposal and unblock when required.

* Sort different types of waste materials into appropriate containers or areas for recycling or disposal.

* Monitor waste storage areas to ensure they are clean, organised, and free of any potential hazards.

* Report any maintenance or repair needs related to waste disposal equipment, bins, or chute systems.

* Perform routine cleaning tasks at entrances to maintain cleanliness and present a positive image.

* Provide support to the maintenance team as needed, assisting with various tasks on an ad-hoc basis such as moving equipment, removing waste, and general cleaning and tidying.

* Assisting with apartment inspections at the end of the tenancies. Carrying out painting, and redecorating works in between the tenancies

* Utilise jet washing equipment to clean and maintain the communal garden pavers.

* Maintaining the communal garden including mowing the lawn and trimming back any excess growth, pruning trees and bushes, digging up unwanted plants and removing weeds.

Key Skills:

* Previous experience in waste management, cleaning, painting, gardening or a related field is desirable.

* Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects when required.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills - fluent in English

* Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to waste management.

* Familiarity with cleaning techniques and equipment.
