Manufacturing Process Engineer

Location: Orangeburg, SC

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team and take charge of designing and planning complex manufacturing processes in our industrial plant. This role involves full technical responsibility for planning, organizing, and conducting independent technical projects, providing engineering support for operations such as machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding, assembly, and material handling.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead New Product Introductions (NPIs) for the Orangeburg location, coordinating activities, schedules, resources, and budgets.

Communicate effectively with a cross-functional team of manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, materials, and production staff.

Provide expert advisory support in the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of manufacturing operations.

Plan and execute projects involving major production activities, solving product/process issues, and exploring new manufacturing concepts.

Conduct independent technical investigations and apply complex technical principles.

Analyze test and production data, prepare technical reports, and recommend manufacturing methods to meet design objectives.

Address technical matters related to assembly drawing interpretation, Engineering Change Notices, rework, and manufacturing challenges.

Collaborate with various departments to secure resources and contributions for projects.

Manage contractors to ensure project integration and satisfactory service standards.

Lead project meetings and report on project status to internal and external stakeholders.

Participate in or lead initiatives to improve manufacturing capacity, cost efficiency, and productivity.

Advocate for product design optimization for manufacturing, requiring in-depth product knowledge of all platforms.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Minimum of 5 years of related experience. strong preference for HVAC or refrigeration or similar industries or manufacturing

Strong understanding of engineering science and technology applications.

Proficient with analytical and CAD software.

Knowledgeable in design techniques, tools, and principles for producing technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Familiarity with assembly and fabrication processes and the ability to optimize design and manufacturing.

Detail-oriented with strong project management skills.

Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Effective cross-functional team collaboration and influence skills.

Expert knowledge of mechanical and manufacturing theory and design.

Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
