Alida Biosciences is an early-stage, VC backed startup company located in San Diego, CA focused on developing novel analysis tools for the detection of epigenomic markers. The company’s assay technology and analysis software will advance the general understanding of gene regulation and drive the discovery of epigenetic drug targets and next-gen RNA-based therapies.

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager who is a bold and energetic individual with a passion for genomic advances and a desire to shape a young company’s portfolio and market entry. The dynamic and experienced Senior Product Manager will drive the strategy of the AlidaBio portfolio of new products. This role will be instrumental in guiding the product strategy, ensuring rapid growth, and fostering innovation across global markets. The ideal candidate will have extensive commercial product management experience in Life Sciences research tools, coupled with a robust technical foundation. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of the next inflection point in genomics enabled by AlidaBio’s sequencing technologies.

Responsibilities

Gather and represent the voice of customer to inform product strategy.

Track and assess industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to refine product and marketing strategies.

Synthesize market, customer, and sales feedback to define product requirements and prioritize development plans.

Support the execution of a multi-year product strategy and roadmap.

Partner with the sales team to engage key customers and cultivate collaborations.

Provide messaging, positioning, and other sales enablement tools.

Represent AlidaBio at key customer and conference events, presenting and engaging with customers.

Collaborate with the rest of the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns and branding initiatives that support the organization's commercial objectives.

Responsible for forecasting revenue targets and tracking performance against goals by developing and monitoring sales performance metrics, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve targets.

Work collaboratively with leadership team, R&D, and operations to gather stakeholder insights that will define future product roadmap priorities.

Requirements

PhD in genomics or a related field paired with significant business leadership experience, or Bachelors degree in genomics or a related field plus MBA.

Typically 10+ years in-depth knowledge and experience in genomics markets.

Strong scientific and technical acumen in genomics and NGS (next generation sequencing) products is a must, single cell and/or epigenomics is a plus.

Strategic thinker able to translate strategic plans into action. Confidence navigating nascent markets and ability to identify growth opportunities.

Experience managing deals from inception to close, achieving milestones through strong leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Experience working with legal and other stakeholders to define, negotiate and close complex agreements.

Experience in conducting financial planning, modeling, pricing and analysis and championing the business case with Senior Management.

Ability to translate complex technical concepts into marketing messages and content that resonates with key customers and thought leaders.

Exceptional interpersonal skills both written and verbal, with experience effectively influencing, communicating and networking at all levels within an organization.

Flexibility to travel.
