Job Requirements of this English Teacher job in Birmingham:

Qualifications: Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience: Previous experience teaching English at Entry Level, Functional Skills, Key Stage 3, and GCSE levels

Role Overview:

Teach English to students aged 11 to 17 in a small, supportive setting
Personalise learning to meet individual student needs
Build professional, nurturing, and positive relationships with students
Inspire students and create engaging learning opportunities
Manage complex and challenging behaviours with attention, appropriate communication, consistency, and flexibility
Participate in decision-making processes and contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular activities
Occasionally cover at another Birmingham schools
