Description

We are recruiting a CSW - Service Manager - MASH and Targeted Support - Hybrid model - for our local government client in Essex. To manage, lead and oversee the day-to-day service delivery of the MASH and targeted Support Service, ensuring the service functions run smoothly and to a high professional standard in line with good practice and guidance.

Responsibility

Take a leading role with the Strategic Head of Service for Early Help, MASH, Targeted Youth Support, Youth Justice and Edge of Care family support (Head of Service) in the continuous improvement of the Service based on performance, risk and demand.

Qualification – Essential

* GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.

* Social Work Qualification - Social Work England (SWE) registration.

* Minimum two years + of working experience (social worker with children and families, including assessments and statutory work)

* Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Social Media.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Requirements - Criteria-to be Tested at Shortlisting

* Experience in operational leadership of diverse statutory teams.

* Experience in successfully leading in a complex or multi-agency management environment.

* Evidence of managing and influencing the quality of social work practice to meet the needs of children and their families.

* Experience working and managing within a changing environment, including experience in successfully managing complex change in large organisations.

* Experience in influencing service provision in partner agencies over which no direct line management relationship exists.

* Develop effective and easily accessible services with multi-agency partners and the voluntary sector to deliver preventative and targeted support services.

* Evidence of success in promoting and implementing equal opportunity policies and practices to employment and service delivery.

* Strategic and operational experience working at the management level within a social services setting, including experience in managing children’s social services.

* Experience and proven track record of providing coaching, mentoring and supervision with evidence of positive outcomes within children’s social care.

* Experience working within a systemic practice model and using this demonstrably within practice, including systemic supervision.

* Experience setting clear priorities, objectives and standards and delivering challenging performance targets.

* Experience in effective partnership and multi-agency work.

* Extensive understanding of social work practice across a range of disciplines.

* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite and other IT applications.

* Enhanced satisfactory clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service
