Job Title: Engineering Manager
Industry: Food & Beverage Manufacturing
Location: York, South
Salary: £55,000-£60,000
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
Our client is a Food Manufacturer supplying frozen and fresh food products across the UK & EU to enormous household name food retailers. They are looking for a well experienced Engineering Manager to join their team in Southern Yorkshire. They are looking for someone to help manage engineering staff and refine engineering processes.
Engineering Manager Key Role Responsibilities:
·Oversee staff and delegate tasks to engineering teams.
·Develops, implements, and optimises manufacturing processes.
·Leads teams in creating new products, solutions, and work flows.
·Manages internal projects and provides support for external ones.
·Prepares downtime reports & presents findings.
·Maintains a high level of expertise in their field or industry.
·Ensures processes comply with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
·Ensures site compliance with HSE Systems.
·Builds and sustains strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
·Manages the PPM schedule, making progress visible to a broader audience.
·Oversees site fabrication and ensures GMP audit issues are resolved.
·Implements measures to minimise the risk of foreign body contamination.
·Prepares weekly reports and updates for senior management.
·Effectively manages utilities.
·Demonstrates commercial awareness and manages budgets efficiently.
Required Engineering Manager Attributes:
·Strong skills in managing personnel and overseeing projects.
·In-depth expertise in industry technology and processes.
·Strategic mindset paired with strong attention to detail.
·Excellent leadership, team-building, and mentoring abilities.
·Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
·Proficient in using presentation tools to convey complex information to non-technical managers and stakeholders.
·Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages concurrently.
·Experience using company systems. (NAV, tensor, PHR).
·IOSH/NEBOSH + Understanding and implementation of PUWER regulations.
