Position: Licensed Practical Nurse

Location: Kane, PA

Shift Type: Nights

Shift Times: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Hourly Pay Rate: $26.00 + $0.75 Night Shift Differential (starts at the beginning of shift)

Shift Schedule: Two days on, two days off, three days on; 84-hour biweekly pay period

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Wing Supervisor to work under the direction of the RN Supervisor and provide medical care, oversee Nursing Assistants, and ensure that residents receive the care outlined in their medical plan. The ideal candidate is passionate about interacting with residents daily and will carry out their duties in accordance with nursing best practices and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and record medications, treatments, and monitoring (e.g., glucose checks) as ordered.

Transcribe physician orders accurately and complete monthly summaries.

Assist physicians with rounds, examinations, and treatments.

Update care plans, ensuring clarity and time-limited goals.

Supervise post-mortem procedures and coordinate with family and staff.

Monitor and document resident condition changes, weight fluctuations, and vital signs.

Assist the RN Supervisor with Nursing Assistant evaluations, and incident reports.

Supervise Nursing Assistants to ensure care plans are followed.

Attend care plan conferences and provide direct care as needed.

Perform and document quality assurance tasks and infection control compliance.

Dress Code:

Scrubs of any color.

Clean shoes (no open-toe sandals).

Name tags required.

Physical Demands:

Ability to pass employment physicals.

Strong knowledge of good body mechanics.

Must be free of communicable diseases.

Certification Requirements:

BLS certification

Must hold a Current PA License or have applied for one at the time of the interview
