Tax Associates work as part of a team to provide tax accounting services for clients from various industries. They learn to use and fully adopt new technology the firm introduces into the work environment. Tax Associates are responsible for completing work assignments in a timely manner ensuring the quality of work performed.
Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns
Assist partners, managers or senior associates in reconciling general ledgers and maintenance of depreciation schedules for multiple clients to allow for timely filing of all required tax returns and other required reports
Use excellent judgment and analysis to prepare and review workpapers and supporting documentation in conformity with applicable professional standards
Exercise discretion and judgement when working with client matters
Perform research utilizing various research
Participate in the area of business development
Utilize cloud-based technology and firm tax software
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business required, a Bachelors in Accounting preferred
Licensed CPA or CMA license or working towards obtaining preferred
Understanding of GAAP and GAAS
Strong technology skills
Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally
Team player
Ability to think innovatively
