Responsibilities:
Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to join our Cyber Intel team here in Laurel, MD! The Cloud Software Engineer will work, within the Compute Team, with a massively parallel enterprise platform, built with Java on Free and Open-Source Software products including Kubernetes, Hadoop and Accumulo, to enable execution of data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure. Peraton is seeking a self-motivated Java developer who proactively completes tasks with a strong attention to detail. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team and will be exposed to a variety of technologies depending on customer requirements.
Qualifications:
Position Requirements:
Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required
Must have at least eight (8) years of experience in software
development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software
development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement,
maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field is
requiredAn additional four (4) years of experience can be considered over
the degree. NOTE: A degree in Mathematics, Information Systems,
Engineering, or similar degree will be considered as a technical
field
One of the following certifications required:AWS Certified Developer-Associate
AWS DevOps Engineer Professsional
Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
Elastic Certified Engineer
Experience in developing system performance, availability, scalability,
manageability, and security requirements for mid-to-large scale
systemsExperience with data government (DMRs, DLMS, DSW, DART)
processes
Knowledge of Security and Compliance as it relates to data handling and
access control and the catalog labelling process is highly desired
