Overview:
Alera Group Midwest, formally known as GCG Financial, LLC is seeking to fill a Temporary position on our Employee Benefits mid-market segment team. The individual in this position will report to the Manager of Client Services, Mid-Market, while partnering with the mid-market segment team in a supporting role.
Responsibilities:
Create benefits summaries and open enrollment presentations
Create open enrollment guides
Process eligibility
Review output of deliverables generated through the quoting and renewal process for accuracy and conformance to established standards and quoting process
Additional duties as assigned to support the mid- market segment team
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience
2 years employee benefits experience (insurance carrier, benefits administration, insurance brokerage) preferred
Insurance carrier and/or insurance brokerage experience preferred
Working knowledge ofHealth and Welfare plans
Ancillary Coverage including Life, Short- and Long-Term Disability, Dental, Vision, etc.
Strong attention to detail focused on accuracy with work product quality as a priority
Broad understanding of the various regulations surrounding health and welfare plans
Effective communication skills – written and verbal
Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as necessary with high sense of urgency
Sound judgment and willingness to take on responsibility for results
Highest integrity in as it pertains to confidentiality of client data
Computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel (creating and verifying financial spreadsheets) and Powerpoint
