Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to lead our Sioux Center manufacturing facilities. This role is critical to ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations while driving productivity and continuous improvement. The Plant Manager will oversee daily plant activities, including production planning, resource management, and compliance with safety and quality standards. They will also develop long-term strategies that foster a best-in-class manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Lead plant activities and collaborate with delivery leaders/managers to meet key objectives related to safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Implement cost-effective systems of control over operating expenses, labor, COGS, waste, wages, and salaries.

Partner with scheduling and supply chain teams to ensure on-time delivery and maintain appropriate levels of finished goods inventories.

Control the flow of materials and labor utilization to maintain adequate production levels.

Monitor and manage overall plant performance against safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards.

Provide leadership and training to the plant team to achieve company goals and objectives.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.

Utilize critical thinking, forecasting, and data analysis to plan workforce and capacity needs.

Implement continuous improvement and Lean methodologies to drive efficiency and cost savings.

Provide strategic direction to elevate plant capabilities, processes, and systems for long-term success.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Plant Manager, Assistant Plant Manager, or Supervisor within a manufacturing environment.

Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred.

Strong knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.

Proficiency in data analysis, budgeting, and P&L management.

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to work across functional teams and with customers.

Experience in managing plant operations, driving continuous improvement, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.

Other Skills:

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge of safety regulations and manufacturing best practices.

Ability to analyze data to improve plant efficiencies and reduce costs.

Proficient in forecasting and workforce planning.

Leadership and communication skills to guide and develop plant teams.

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear; frequent standing and walking; use of hands for handling and reaching.

Occasionally required to lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision, along with depth perception.

Work Environment:

This role involves a combination of office and plant floor environments. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. The work may occasionally require climbing, stooping, kneeling, and balancing.

Location & Travel Requirements:

This position is based in our Sioux Center, IA facility.  This role will be up to 10-15% travel may be required based on business needs.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $110-140K + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by the experience and education required, and level of responsibility.
