The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing accurately and efficiently. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of payroll regulations and procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 

A Day In The Life Of :

Process payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. 

Maintain payroll records and documentation, including employee information, timekeeping records, tax withholdings, and other relevant data. 

Handle all payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing timely and accurate responses to ensure a positive employee experience. 

Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure alignment on payroll-related matters, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status. 

Reconcile payroll reports and resolve any discrepancies or errors promptly. 

Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. 

Monitor payroll tax filings, including quarterly and year-end filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. 

Answer queries from the payroll service to resolve tax and payroll issues.  

Assist with payroll-related projects and initiatives as needed, including system upgrades or implementations. 

Generate payroll reports and analyze data to identify trends or areas for improvement. 

Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and adhere to data security policies and procedures. 

What You'll Bring To The Table :

Previous experience in payroll processing required. 

Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel. 

Understanding of Federal, State and all employment taxes. 

Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements. 

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. 

High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality. 

We’d Love It If You Also Have  

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred. 

Experience of internal controls preferred.
