General Summary:

Assists with legal procedures and conducts legal research. Depending on area of assignment, may review and track case file information for accuracy. Regularly consults with representatives from outside agencies for case status information (such as probation officers, Department of Human Services' workers). Performs various routine and ad hoc computer operations. In the Prosecuting Attorney's office, assists attorneys in special units, Litigation, or Appellate offices. May compile, analyze, and report on information from primary and secondary legal sources, assist attorneys in court and perform related clerical procedures as assigned. Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Possession of a certificate or degree sanctioned by the American Bar Association as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant.

Pass the complete examination, including the employment medical established for the classification.

Successfully complete the six month probationary period.

Pay Range:

USD $25.82 - USD $34.59 /Hr.
