Grinder / Toolroom Technician

COMPANY DESCRIPTION, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE

Due to continued growth, they are currently recruiting a Grinder (Early/Late Shift rotation) The successful candidate will have proven experience in the use of various grinding machines and will support engineering related production activities.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Programming, setting and operating cylindrical and surface grinding machines

* Tool repair and maintenance

* Manufacturing tooling for use in compression and injection moulding to high tolerances

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

ESSENTIAL

* Time serviced apprenticeship in relevant engineering discipline

* Experience in working with mould tools and how they fit together

* Experience in working on cylindrical and surface grinding machines

* Can read and interpret engineering drawings

* Working to high tolerances

DESIRABLE

* HNC / HND or similar in mechanical / general engineering

DETAILS OF PACKAGE

Circa £41,952 PA + Overtime + Competitive benefits (37 Hour week): Earlies: 06.05-14.35 (Mon-Thurs) 06.05-11.05 (Fri) / Lates: 14.25-22.55 (Mon-Thurs) 10.55-15.55 (Fri) 29 days holiday + Bank holidays / Health Care / Counselling Service / Competitive Pension Free onsite parking / Life Assurance
