We’re growing rapidly and have a great opportunity for a Digitization Technician. The Digitization Technician reports to and is supervised by the Director of Digital Services. This position is located in Duluth, GA (just north of Atlanta).
Responsibilities
Work within a multi-faceted operation providing QC, client request fulfillment, and support for a dynamic team that includes Archivists, Digital Coordinators and Client Services representatives
Ensure clients expectations are met, as well as, account for overall image quality
Organize scan material for ease and efficiency of use
Coordinate material in chronological order, as well as, remove staples, unfold documents, and other various tasks as needed
Operate various types of scanning equipment
Maintain scanning 1,000+ documents per workday or adhere to the expected number of scans per hour based on the equipment being used
Provide quality scans appropriately cropped and de-skewed
Conduct Quality Control of scanned content for accuracy and optimum quality
Support research requests as needed
Assist with archival staff as needed
Sustain other duties as assigned based on operational/project/business need
Requirements
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to excel in a deadline-oriented, dynamic, fluid environment that values creative problem solving, ownership, and collaborative teamwork
Experience with both Windows and Macintosh computer platforms (preferred)
Basic knowledge of Microsoft such as Excel
Ability to work within customized data asset management systems
