Job Summary
The Lead Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting all technical aspects of our consumables production processes. These consumables products, for example reference standards and reagents, are critical for allowing our analytical instruments to perform well. They are also a key revenue generator.
As Manufacturing Engineer, you will be working cross-functionally with Production, Planning, Product Management, Quality, Safety, and Technology to support all phases of the creation and maintenance of our Consumables production processes. You will collaborate with Technology and Product Management when new instruments and associated new consumables products are developed and released. You will assist the Production team in day-to-day troubleshooting to keep current processes running. Your experience in supporting current processes will guide you in leading efforts for optimization and continuous improvement. You will support Quality in investigating failures and coming up with short and long-term solutions.
Veolia Analytical Instruments is a Certified Reference Material producer, and the Manufacturing Engineer will be deeply involved in helping us maintain our ISO 17025, and 17034 accreditations. This will involve developing studies and writing reports on product stability and homogeneity as well as setting up calculations for uncertainty.
The Manufacturing Engineer is also a key contributor, along with our Manufacturing Software Engineer, to the development and maintenance of our manufacturing software and databases that guide our Production teams on a day-to-day basis and collect critical information. You will work closely with fellow engineers designing, improving, and troubleshooting this software.

Duties &Responsibilities
Direct production support and troubleshooting
Project work (new product introduction + improvement projects)
Quality support including investigations, audit representation, and audit finding follow-up
Manufacturing software development support
Change management and document management
Technical/mathematical leadership for measurement uncertainty calculations and other related metrological concerns
Hands-on creation and maintenance of production equipment
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the training and development of the team members in the department.
Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment, department wide.
Be a positive leader/role model within the department and company by living the company
vision, mission, values and policies
