Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department
Location: Great Falls, MT
Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. This position involves providing both direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting, reflecting initiative, flexibility, and responsibility with minimal supervision. The RN will safely triage patients, rapidly and accurately addressing physical and psychosocial needs, and manage patient flow through the system. You will work closely with ER physicians and mid-level providers to communicate changes in patient status, symptomology, and diagnostic results, responding quickly and effectively to any changes in condition or treatment response. You will be responsible for giving direction to Emergency Department techs, registration staff, and allied health staff.
Shift:
3x12 shifts (11:00 AM - 11:00 PM), including some weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide emergency care to patients with various medical conditions.
Safely and accurately triage patients based on their physical and psychosocial needs.
Communicate patient updates with ER physicians, mid-level providers, and other healthcare professionals.
Respond quickly to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
Give direction to emergency department techs, registration staff, and allied health staff.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Degree from an accredited nursing program (required).
Bachelors in Nursing and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) (preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of ER experience (required).
Licenses/Certifications:
Current RN license in the State of Montana (required).
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC required or to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong understanding of emergency department nursing principles and procedures.
Basic computer and office skills.
Proficiency in IV skills and operation of medical equipment.
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
