As an Oncology Liason, you will work collaboratively with operational leaders, physicians, site managers, and practice staff to understand business needs, and plan and execute sales and marketing strategies that align with practice goals.

Here's what might happen on a typical day…

Your ability to use professional concepts and company objectives will help you resolve complex issues and ensure referral feedback is communicated/followed up appropriately.

You will establish and maintain ongoing communications with referring physicians and/or their office staff, including peer-to-peer, routine or follow-up visits, emails, and phone calls. 

While partnering with Practice Marketing, you will implement practice growth strategy in core markets and the selling approach in each market.

By utilizing CRM, market analysis, trends, and performance reporting you will develop sales plans and track practice growth. 

You will support practice growth efforts through practice visits, sales calls, tumor boards, community events, trade-shows and cross-business collaborations.

You will adhere to liaison administrative duties, including managing travel expenses within guidelines and budget, timely completion of expense reports, and use of tools such as Salesforce and Business Objects.

You have a proven record of success in sales, preferably in healthcare, with a strong understanding of consultive sales, call cycles, and territory planning.

Your collaboration skills allow you to perform in a matrixed environment and allow you to work with a wide range of individuals, including physicians.

You are a fact-based decision maker with strong emphasis on data, trends, and market analytics to drive profitable growth.

You are proficient with CRM and business intelligence reporting, preferably Salesforce and Business Objects. 

Your strong conflict management and resolution skills will help when handling customer complaints and objections.

You have excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills and are proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Power Point).

Qualifications:

We feel this position requires these basics:

A 4-year undergraduate degree is required, preferably with an emphasis in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, or Healthcare.

We feel that you will be most successful with at least 5 -7 years sales experience, preferably healthcare sales, calling on physician accounts

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • 4-year undergraduate degree required, preferably with an emphasis in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, or Healthcare. MBA preferred but not required. • Experience: Minimum 5-7 years healthcare sales experience, preferably calling on physician accounts

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The employee is regularly required to sit or stand and talk or hear. Position requires full range of body motion including, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Position requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be present within the assigned territory/region during regularly scheduled business hours. The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve in-person interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients. Work may require travel by automobile, approximately 70% of work week. Sales positions require regularly working outside the office in order to call on clients and build relationships.
