UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital, formerly known as The Villages Regional Hospital and acquired by University of Florida Health in January 2020, has been serving residents of The Villages as well as patients in Lake, Sumter and Marion counties since 2002. Responsibilities:

The Chaplain is responsible for overseeing the Spiritual Care program of the health system to ensure needs of patients, visitors, family members, auxiliary and team members are met. This includes direct provision of spiritual support, integration into interdisciplinary plan of care, and collaboration with community clergy and other spiritual care providers in meeting patients’ needs.

Education

Graduate Degree

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Ordination/endorsement by a recognized ecclesiastical body.

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required

A minimum of 1 year CPE (Clinical Professional Education)

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
