We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Medication Authorization Specialist to join our Medication Access team.

What You Can Expect

Utilize your advanced medication knowledge to maximize revenue capture for high-cost medications in this critical, complex field

Work autonomously and proficiently to guide the provider, patient, and insurance company

Collaborate with a crossfunctional team of pharmacists, medical/clinical staff, revenue cycle specialists, and patient access services staff including financial advocates and coding staff

Engage with third party payers, prescription benefit management companies, governmental peer review organizations, and referring physicians

Manage referrals related to prescription medications for various disease states, obtaining prior authorization from intermediaries and payers including managed care companies, insurance companies, and review organizations

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid Idaho Pharmacy Technician Registration

Upon hire, once CPhT certification has been obtained, must maintain renewal of national CPhT certification and report to State Board of Pharmacy as required by PTCB and/or NHA

Preferred Qualifications

Two (2) + years' experience

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
