Overview:

Marksman Security Corporation is hiring immediately for

 Auxiliary and Flex Security Officer!

Applicants need to be flexible with their schedule and willing to work weekends, day, evenings, overnights and holidays, if needed. Must be able to respond to work assignments with little to no advance notice.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in security or customer service fields. Must have active CA State training and Guard Card licensing.

Qualifications:

Security Officers, sometimes referred to as Security Guards, deter criminal activity, protect and enforce rules on a property.  Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and do security checks in buildings, offices and parking structures.   Security Officers provide protection for equipment and workers along with checking the credentials of vehicles and individuals coming and going from the premises.

Available Security Officer Positions: Auxiliary Security Officer

Responsibilities: 

Observation and Vigilance:

Must remain alert at all times, observe their surroundings, looking for signs of suspicious activity, potential threats, or disorderly conduct. Ensure all employees, contractors and visitors badge is visible at all times.

Acknowledge unusual activities and investigate further or report it to the appropriate personnel.

Access Control:

Responsible for monitoring access points. Check badges or identification to ensure only authorized individuals enter the appropriate buildings that they have access for.  Unauthorized individuals have to go through the screening process until verified. No tailgating is allowed. All employees, visitors and contractors must individually swipe their access cards wherever there are card readers.

Trespassers are promptly addressed and removed from the premises.

Emergency Response:

In case of emergencies (medical incidents, accidents, fires, etc.), must be able to take swift action.  Assist with evacuations, provide first aid, or call for help.

Familiarity with emergency protocols and communication systems is essential.

Crime Prevention and Deterrence:

Be able to act as a visible deterrent against criminal activity to ensure the safety of others

Conduct patrols on all platforms, parking lots, and other areas to prevent theft, vandalism, or other crimes.

Documentation and Reporting:

Must be able maintain detailed records of incidents, disturbances, or any unusual occurrences.

Accurate notetaking helps with investigations and ensures proper follow-up.

Customer Service:

Able to interact with employees, visitors and contractors, providing assistance and information when needed.

Politeness, patience, and clear communication are essential for positive interactions.

Provide excellent customer service which could include giving directions, opening doors and greeting employees, visitors and contractors in a proper manner.  

Qualifications:

At least 18 years of age or older

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid State BSIS California Guard Card

Strong customer service skills

Familiarity with report writing

Good verbal and written communication skills

Monitoring and surveillance experience

Essential Computer Competencies

Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks

Comfortable with Outdoor Environment in Diverse Weather Conditions

Previous Security experience is a PLUS!

Must successfully pass Pre-Employment background check and drug test

North Shack Patrols: Regularly patrol assigned areas to ensure they are secure and detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior, etc. 

Monitoring: Keep an eye on the security cameras to detect any suspicious activity.

Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies and security incidents.

Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service when assisting clients, guest and contractors.

Reporting: Document and report any security breaches or incidents. This role requires vigilance, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Truck Gate:

Monitoring and Controlling Medium to High Volume Access: Checking in and out personnel, visitors, and vehicles. Ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises.

Surveillance: Observing and reporting any suspicious activities. This often involves monitoring CCTV cameras.

Traffic Control: Directing and managing the flow of vehicles, especially in busy areas.

Check in and out truck loads and check in contractors from the South Shack.

Reporting: Documenting incidents, irregularities, and any breaches of security protocols.

Customer Service: Assisting visitors with directions and information and providing a point of contact for employees and delivery personnel.

Enforcing Rules: Ensuring that policies, procedures and regulations are followed.



Qualifications:

At least 18 years of age or older

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid CA BSIS Guard Card 

Strong customer service skills

Familiarity with report writing
