Qualifications:
Security Officers, sometimes referred to as Security Guards, deter criminal activity, protect property and enforce rules on a property. Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and do security checks. In factories, warehouses and offices, Security Officers provide protection for equipment and workers along with checking the credentials of vehicles and individuals coming and going from the premises.
Available Security Officer Position:
TRUCK GATE:
Access Control: Monitoring and controlling Medium to High Volume access. Observing who enters and exits the facility. This often involves checking identification, issuing access badges, and maintaining a log of visitors and vehicles.
Surveillance: Using security cameras and other surveillance equipment to monitor activity at the gate and within the facility. This includes watching for suspicious behavior and ensuring all security protocols are followed.
Vehicle Inspection: Conducting inspections of trucks and other vehicles entering or leaving the premises. This can involve checking for cargo, verifying load manifests, and ensuring that vehicles meet safety standards.
Communication: Coordinating with other security personnel and facility staff to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that arise. This includes reporting incidents and documenting daily activities.
Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all security-related activities, including vehicle entries and exits, incidents, and any other relevant information.
Traffic Control: Directing and managing the flow of vehicles, especially in busy areas.
Patrols: Conducting regular patrols of the gate area and surrounding property to deter and detect any unauthorized activities.
Emergency Response: Being prepared to respond to emergencies such as accidents, security breaches, or medical incidents. This includes alerting emergency services if necessary and following company protocols.
Customer Service: Assisting drivers and visitors with directions, information, and ensuring a positive experience while maintaining security standards.
Enforcing Rules: Ensuring that policies, procedures and regulations are followed.
Qualifications:
At least 18 years of age or older
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid CA BSIS Guard Card
Valid CA Driver's License
Strong customer service skills
Essential Computer Skills
Familiarity with report writing
Monitoring and surveillance experience
Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
Previous security experience is required!
Must successfully pass Pre-Employment background check and drug test.
