Working hours: 37 hours per week
Rate: £35 - £40 (Umbrella) per hour (negotiable)
IR35 status: Inside IR35
Location : North Staffordshire Area,

A Brief overview of the role :

Main Purpose of Job:

To lead and manage the Facilities Management function to meet the Council's Corporate Objectives, its Priorities for Improvement and the Service Plan.

Main Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities
1. To manage and supervise all staff and budgets allocated to the Small Works and Repairs Section.

2. To formulate, implement and update the Service Plan and contribute to the Corporate Plan, especially in relation to the maintenance of Council assets.

3. To carry out staff development appraisals and set performance measures for members of the Section.

4. To prepare estimates, budgets and performance measures for the Section. This includes managing large budgets for a wide range of repairs and improvements across the diverse building and structures stock.

The candidate :

Strong background in Public Sector / Local Authority.
