We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join our inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets. Our school provides a nurturing and supportive environment where every child is given the opportunity to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with varying levels of ability, including those with Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, and physical disabilities.
Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes emotional and social development alongside academic achievement.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, SENCOs, and teaching assistants, to ensure each student receives the best possible support.
Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods and interventions to meet individual needs.
Provide pastoral care and emotional support to students, helping them build confidence and self-esteem.Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working in a special educational needs setting.
Strong understanding of SEN codes of practice and personalised learning plans (EHCPs).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and other professionals.
