Calling all Engineers: Tutor of Electronics, Mechatronics & Manufacturing Engineering Vacancy

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: Up to £40,109 per annum (subject to experience and qualifications). Plus generous benefits. These include:

• 55 days annual leave per year (including bank holidays and efficiency closures)
• Generous Occupational Pension Scheme
• Financial support towards teacher training course fees if you do not have a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE) – worth up to £7,000 over two years

About the role
Are you working or teaching in the field of electrical/electronic engineering and advanced manufacturing? Would you be interested in a rewarding role which supports the development of our future engineering workforce. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who would relish the opportunity to share their knowledge, skills and industry experience to teach, support and develop our next generation of engineers.

This is a great opportunity to inspire our future engineers, teaching your specialist knowledge and skills across a range of vocational engineering & manufacturing programmes and apprenticeships at Level 3 & 4. The role be across programmes such as our HTQ HNC in Engineering pathways, HND, BTEC Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and our T Level Engineering Manufacturing Design and Development. The successful candidate would need electrical/electronic engineering & advanced manufacturing experience to deliver a range of topics such as Electronic Devices, Production & Manufacturing Systems, Programme Logic Controllers and Robotics, Electrical Power & Machines, and under pinning knowledge such as Electrical Electronic Principles.

About the person
You may be an experienced FE trainer/tutor, or a newly qualified tutor/teacher, however we would encourage applications from those working in manufacturing and/or engineering industry. Experience of leading projects/programmes would also be of benefit as there is potential within this role to lead our HE Engineering provision.

You should have a minimum of HND in a relevant Engineering discipline, or/and relevant industry standard qualifications and experience. You will ideally possess a recognised teaching qualification and assessor/IQA awards, or be willing to work towards these with funding support from the College. Recent experience within a manufacturing / engineering industry would be a significant advantage.

Candidates may offer skills and experiences suitable for a proportion of role or the total 37 hours per week.
