Job: Estates Manager
Job type: Permanent/Full time
Salary: £48,000

T4S Education is working in partnership with a prestigious secondary school in Ashford, Surrey, to recruit an experienced Estates Manager. This is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive salary of £48,000 per annum, plus a range of excellent benefits. The Estates Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all facilities management services of the school estate. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the school is a well-maintained, safe and secure site for all users. The Estates Manager will ensure high standards of site supervision and effective use of resources to enhance the learning environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the effective management, maintenance, and development of the school’s estate
* Management of caretakers and groundsmen
* Premises related Health and Safety issues including compliance
* Management of maintenance and repairs and facilities care on site
* Manage and maintain work schedules and ensure quality control of works completed
* Act as Fire Safety Officer
* Security of the school sites
* Budget management
* Contract management
* Project management
* Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations
* Lead on all aspects of estates management, including building services, grounds, security, and maintenance
* Manage contractors and maintenance staff, ensuring the school site is safe and operational at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* A strong background in Estates or Facilities Management
* NEBOSH qualification or IOSH L3, with health & safety being a critical aspect of the role
* Experience working as an Estates or Facilities Manager in a school setting (desirable)
* Excellent organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
