Job Title: Fleet / Workshop Controller Job Vacancy

Salary: Up to £45,000

Location: CM22

Our Client are actively seeking someone to assist in the operations of their fleet and workshop.

They run a fleet of 20 highways maintenance vehicles.

They are looking for someone who can be an all-rounder in helping with different departments across the company and not being afraid to learn something new!

Daily duties will include but isn't limited to:

* Organising inspections & MOTs

* Resolving vehicle defects, breakdowns, warranty repairs

* Operating our job management software – uploading jobs to the drivers’ tablets, handling stock control, actioning defects

* Workshop management (currently just the 1 mechanic) - this will include giving work to the mechanic to do for the day/week, making sure the workshop is managed safely.

* Purchasing - ordering parts, fuel, AdBlue, oils as and when needed

* Driver welfare – Liaising with drivers relating to vehicle defects and general wellbeing, assisting with holiday requests

* Specific contract management - for example we currently have a contract with Heathrow Airport, so applying for ID passes and vehicle passes

This is an interesting role and could lead to the position of Transport Manager or Operations Manager if the candidate is willing to progress.

Mainly office based in CM22, however site or customer visits from time to time could occur.

Working hours will be 8am-5pm.

Skills Required:

* Strong IT skills

* Good communication skills

* Good work ethic

* Able to manage your own time

* Knowledge of construction industry (preferred)

* Knowledge of trucks, mechanically minded (preferred)

* Clean driving license
