ABC Teachers is excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to become part of a dynamic SEND school located in the heart of Shrewsbury.

Role Overview

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students' individual learning needs, both one-on-one and in small groups. Your main objective will be to create a nurturing, student-focused learning environment that promotes independence and success for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with class teachers to provide tailored support that meets the diverse needs of students.
Help maintain an inclusive and engaging classroom atmosphere, empowering students to achieve their best.
Support the delivery of classroom activities, ensuring that each student’s educational goals are addressed.
Full-time, ongoing roles are available with immediate starts, as well as positions for a October 2024 start.

To be considered for this Learning Support Assistant role, you should:

Be capable of building strong relationships with students, encouraging a positive and supportive learning environment.
Have prior experience working with children or young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Demonstrate excellent communication and behavior management skills.
Be able to provide appropriate references and pass a DBS check.
