£25,000 - £40,000 DOE

Monday to Friday: 8am – 4pm (37.5 hours)

Fantastic opportunity to join a global manufacturing business as a Buyer in East Kent. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Duties for this role include:

Negotiating with suppliers on products and contract reviews.

Finding new suppliers and growing the business.

Analysing inventory and sales levels.

Optimising the supply chain.

Liaising with customers and updating them on their order progress.

Maximising and improving service levels; ensuring customer orders are delivered on time.

Liaising this custom clearance agents for overseas deliveries.

Completing import and export documentation.

The successful candidate will have/be:

Previous experience working in a similar buying/purchasing role within manufacturing.

CIPS qualified or equivalent is desirable.

Strong and varied negotiation skills.

Detail orientated with a meticulous attention to detail.

Excellent computer skills and proficient using Excel.

Due to the location of the role, you will need a driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

The successful candidate will be joining a strong workforce where employees tend to stay with the business for decades due to the company culture.
