Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant (Level 2)
Location: Blackburn
Salary: 12.82-14.75 -Per Hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Full-time- Permanent
Start Date: After October Half Term
Job Description:
A local school in Blackburn is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Level 2 qualified candidate to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
Support the learning and development of students with special educational needs, ensuring each child's needs are met.
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students.
Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
Assist with personal care and mobility as required.Requirements:
Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
Experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to supporting children's needs.
