Quantity Surveyor
Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Midlands
Salary: £50,000-£55,000 per annum
My client are civil engineering contractor operating across the Midlands and providing a multitude of services within the highways sector. Due to an increase in contract success, they are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
Key Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:
Provide financial and contractual support on civil engineering projects.
Reduce costs and add value to projects.
Oversee subcontractors.
Perform monthly subcontractor measures against claimed invoices.
Identify additional works, and produce final accounts.
Produce a monthly measure for each project.
Reconcile and price variation orders.
Keep up-to-date with developments in quantity surveying
Key Requirements of the Quantity Surveyor:
Demonstrable quantity surveying experience within a civil engineering environment.
Logical and highly numerate.
A team player with strong judgement and decision making abilities.
Brilliant interpersonal and communication skills are also key.
An HND qualification in Civil Engineering or Chartered Surveyors (RICS) degree in quantity surveying.
Good IT skills
An understanding of NEC, ICE and JCT contract conditions.
An understanding of MOM and CESMM measurement methods.
