CMM Technician / Quality Inspector

Metalis are working with an established company based in Kidderminster who are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector/ CMM Technician to join their team.

As a CMM Inspector, you will use your expertise in Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure that critical components are measured accurately to design specifications. Your role is vital in maintaining the precision and reliability of our products. Our Quality Technician will be hands-on, performing essential inspections and tests to ensure our products meet stringent quality requirements. You will be responsible for monitoring production processes, conducting checks, and reporting any deviations to the quality team.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct in-process and final inspections of products.
Assist in the investigation of non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
Document and maintain quality records accurately.
Operate and maintain inspection equipment.
Set up and operate CMM to measure parts against engineering drawings and specifications.
Generate detailed inspection reports and ensure data accuracy.
Interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Perform first article inspections (FAI) and support production with real-time measurements.Essential Requirements:

Previous experience in a quality technician role or similar.
Knowledge of basic measurement tools and quality inspection techniques.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in using CMM software (e.g. PC-DMIS, Calypso).
Experience in a manufacturing quality role, ideally with CMM experience.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy.Pay and Hours:

Annual Salary: Circa £26,000 + shift allowance (£1.14 per hour)

Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays (pro-rata)

Hours of Work: 37.75 per week / Double Days Shift

AM - Monday - Thursday - 6am - 2:15pm
AM - Friday - 6am - 1:15pm
PM - Monday - Thursday - 2pm - 10:15pm
