Technical Shift Supervisor - Based in Irlam - £38,000 Plus benefits + Overtime
(The shift pattern for this role is 4 days on and 4 days off, 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am)
My Client one of Europes leading industrial packaging company are looking for a Technical Shift Supervisor to join their expanding growing team.
The Role
As Technical Shift Supervisor you will managing a team of 4 people.
Key Responsibilites:
* Ensure all Safety rules and procedures are adhered to
* Working in line with the production schedule, ensuring that product is produced to the correct specification and in line with customer requirements.
* Assist the Quality Controller in their activities as directed by the Production Manager
* Complete basic quality control checks.
* Complete production plan by establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving problems and completing paperwork in full.
* Provide assistance to other operators where necessary
* Lead Team meeting at the start of each shift to discuss previous and next 24 hours production, labour distribution, and break cover and any other business.
* Cleaning of filters and granulators
* Detect quality concerns on products as they are produced, quarantine and report the concern immediately to the Production Manager or Quality Controller
* Recommend machine or process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
* Leave the work area clean, tidy and prepared for the shift and carry out a handover
* Carrying out Colour Changes
* Follow operating, health and safety and quality procedures and instructions.
* Ensure that the standards required to fulfil the legal, BRCGS and ISO requirements are met.
As Technical Shift Supervisor you will be required to have experience of the below:
* Atleast 2 Years working with Blow Moulding Machines
* Supervising/Assististing engineers
* Fault Diagnosis and repair of items
* Running and Fixing machines in previous positions
