Group Rhodes are looking to fill CNC/Setter/Operator Position.
37 hours a week
8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday, with half an hour lunch break
8am to 1pm, Friday
* 33 days holiday per annum
* Additional birthday holiday

The purpose of the role is to successfully run CNC/Manual machines within a heavy engineering environment.
* Ensure machining operations and processes are effectively carried out by the approved manufacturing route and quality standards
* Actively pursue continuous improvements in assembly methods and techniques and make recommendations for implementation when appropriate.
* Ensure all machinery and equipment is adequately maintained and regularly checked for lubrication
* Take care of measuring equipment and report on any defective, or out-of-calibration items
* Ensure all lifting and transportation equipment is used appropriately

(E) = Essential; (D) = Desirable
Qualifications
* Apprentice trained mechanical engineer (E)
Skills & Knowledge
* Ability to use manual measuring equipment (E)
* Good understanding of engineering drawings and geometrical tolerances (E)
* Knowledge of CNC programming (E)
Experience
* Experience working with a horizontal machining centre and Fanuc control (E)
* Experience of working with Heidenhain controls (D)
* Experience of working within the heavy engineering industry (D)
