Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineering Intern to support the AECOM Transportation, Structures Department in our Rocky Hill, CT office.

This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.

Interns perform assignments related to the design, analysis, rehabilitation, and inspection of highway bridges, railroad bridges and ancillary structures.

Working under the direction and supervision of an engineer, interns will assist in the development of calculations, drawings, construction cost estimates, and technical specifications.

Enthusiastic individuals eager to face new challenges and take on personal responsibilities are best qualified to meet the demands of this work. An intern is expected to be able to apply technical training to perform basic calculations, work well in a team setting, and be willing to work diligently to learn new skills.
