Required from January 2025

Are you a passionate and reflective leader? Do you have strong SEN management experience?
We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and committed SENCO keen to develop their career at Broadway Academy. This role would suit someone with strong SEN experience and commitment to meeting a new challenge.

Broadway Academy Trust is rated 'Good' by Ofsted and constantly striving for excellence.

The Department
The SEND and Inclusion department is a forward-thinking team focused on providing a holistic educational experience for all students. We work closely with families and external agencies ensuring that students, particularly those with additional needs, participate in all aspects of Academy life. This is achieved through demonstration of the Academy values through person centred practices and ensuring provision meets student needs. We are focused on training and embrace new initiatives and research to advance the support and expertise that we provide for our students.

The post holder
You will have:
* (or be working towards), the NASENCO qualification or NPQ for SENCOs
* The ability to support the Assistant HT for SEND and Inclusion in devising the Academy strategy to ensure that every child who is classified as a SEN is supported to help them reach their full educational potential
* Skills to support with the day to day running of a vibrant SEND department.
* Experience of supporting SEND provision, implementing an inclusive curriculum and achieving pupil progress
* Track record of teaching and working effectively with SEND students across key stages 3, 4 and 5.
* Experience of managing, progressing and monitoring EHCPs, support plans and annual reviews
* Experience of developing curriculum resources and designing interventions to ensure SEND students have the right support
* Ability to support, challenge, mentor and develop Academy staff on SEN and learning support

Why you should join us
You will get a real opportunity to make a difference within a school which encourages students and staff to be aspirational. We have an innovative partnership with a well-regarded school in the independent sector. Staff development is a priority for all, and we provide structured CPD. High achieving teachers have access to an accelerated leadership programme linked to NPQs. Staff wellbeing is a priority, and we provide an employee assistance programme for our staff.

If you are keen to work in a successful and growing academy trust which encourages staff to aim high in their own careers, this could be a great opportunity for you.
