Hours - 8am – 4PM

About the role:

Supply Desk are working with a Secondary school based in Basingstoke that are seeking an English teacher to support students. The role will be teaching all elements of English, with some general cover with time allowed for planning and marking. The school are looking for someone with excellent subject knowledge, good classroom management and a really positive approach to teaching and building relationships. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable skills or build upon existing experience in an education setting.

Supply Desk are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a Secondary school based in the Basingstoke area on a long-term contract with the potential of a permanent contract.

About the School:

The School is a mixed school based in Basingstoke for students aged from 11+ years with around 1200 students in total. The Secondary school comes with a Good reputation and has supportive team members that cares deeply for their values. The school also provides free onsite parking.

The ideal candidate will:

- Demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork.

- Proven ability to raise student attainment.

- Exhibit confidence and adaptability in diverse environments.

- Possess excellent classroom management skills.

- Deliver Art & Design lessons in a fun, engaging, and relatable manner for students.

- Hold a current valid DBS or be willing to obtain one.

- Confidently work with Key Stage 3 pupils.

Responsibilities:

- Carry out any duties reasonably assigned by the Head of Campus, including teaching responsibilities.

- Participate in performance appraisals for oneself and other staff members, following the agreed national framework.

- Ensure the health and safety of oneself, colleagues, and all students, while upholding good order and discipline in line with school policies.

- Be familiar with and comply with all school policies and guidelines across all areas of school life.

- Actively engage in the school's self-evaluation process, following the plan-do-review approach.

- Maintain classroom(s) to the highest standard, ensuring the comfort, safety, self-esteem, and learning of all students.
