Overview:

About the Role 

The Research Coordinator will carry out a variety of clinical research study activities that generate evidence of the clinical benefit of Hinge Health programs/products. The Research Coordinator works closely with the Clinical Research team to conduct and manage high quality, rigorous clinical research studies. The Research Coordinator communicates clearly in team meetings, internal reports and interactions with study participants/members. The Research Coordinator pays exceptional attention to detail, adheres to established protocols and maintains compliance with regulatory requirements for the protection of human subjects and the conduct of ethical clinical research.

The ideal candidate will have foundational training in clinical research and limited experience in the conduct of clinical research in either academic or private industry settings. Startup experience is a plus, but not a must.

What You'll Accomplish 

Carry out day-to-day clinical research operations for studies that contribute to Hinge Health commercial, product, or research goals, including conducting literature reviews from reputable sources, identification and screening of study participants, collection of informed consent, electronic and occasional in-person primary data collection, monitoring for data completion and participant retention, development of study forms and materials, and internal reporting on project completion.

Communicate regularly and rapidly with the Clinical Research team and collaborators to provide updates on project status, particularly in the event of obstacles or unanticipated delays.

Ensure participants have a positive experience in their participation in research by communicating regularly and responding to questions and concerns, and disseminating project updates and study findings as they become available.

We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days/week.

Qualificatons:

Qualifications

Skilled in research administration

Proficient in working with study participants from a variety of backgrounds

Working knowledge of human subjects protections and HIPAA regulations 

Ability to manage multiple projects from start to finish within prescribed timeline, ensuring success criteria are met

Adheres to established protocols and standard operating procedures

Efficient with their and other employees’ time

Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities, is a role model for quality and integrity

Up to date with approved training in Protection of Human Subjects in Research and Good Clinical Practices. 

Experienced in Qualtrics, Google Suite, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to digital therapeutics and new technologies in medical devices

Familiarity with Institutional Review Board processes

Compensation

This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
