My Client Is a leading gas contractor who specialising in the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas systems for commercial clients. their commitment to safety and quality is paramount, and we are seeking a meticulous Commercial Quality Control Inspector to ensure all our operations adhere to the highest industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations, maintenance, and repair work to ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company procedures.

* Monitor and inspect gas pipelines, equipment, and connections throughout all stages of a project.

* Perform audits of work sites, assessing both the quality of work and adherence to health and safety protocols.

* Identify and document non-conformities or defects in materials, equipment, or workmanship, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.

* Collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and project managers to resolve quality issues and improve processes.

* Ensure all inspections are accurately documented and reported, maintaining detailed records for compliance and auditing purposes.

* Stay up-to-date with gas safety regulations, standards (such as Gas Safe Register), and best practices to ensure continuous compliance.

* Assist in the development of quality control procedures and training programs for staff.

* Perform risk assessments and propose preventive measures to mitigate potential quality and safety issues.

Key Skills & Requirements:

* Proven experience in a quality control role within the gas industry, with a focus on commercial projects.

* In-depth knowledge of gas safety regulations, standards (e.g., Gas Safe), and industry best practices.

* Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.

* Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications related to gas installations.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with teams and report findings effectively.

* Proficient in using quality control tools and software for documentation and reporting.

* Gas Safe certification or equivalent qualifications are essential.

* A proactive, safety-first mindset with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
