QUALITY ASSURANCE ASSISTANT - FLEXO & DIGITAL PRINT
WEST YORKSHIRE
Hours: 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 1.30pm Fridays
Basic Salary + Stakeholder Pension + 34 days holiday
Our Client is a well established high quality manufacturer of Digital and Flexo Print, part of a dynamic and growing global group, with all the latest foiling, embossing and decoration technologies at their fingertips. Core business is in Premium Food & Drinks markets along with Home, Health & Personal Care.
Reporting to the General Manager and QA Manager, our client is recruiting a Quality Assurance Assistant, to provide administration support to QA Manager, to help Managers and staff deliver business success in line with best practice.
Key Deliverables are:
Work accurately and with attention to detail to work and standard operating procedure.
Completing QA Pass sheets.
Routine paperwork inspections/ensure all departments adhere to QA procedures.
Monitoring colour variation through production.
Quality Control Checks through manufacture (i.e., scratch malachite, Sellotape, print quality etc.)
Overseeing Colour standards-including creating new standards, removing old standards from system, sending standards to Customer for approval, allocating standards.
Attending quality meetings.
Assisting with R&D (Research & Development).
Product testing if required.
Assisting with trials.
Handle customer and Internal complaints - recording, and report writing.
Support with internal Audits.
Ensure any issues are highlighted to your Line Manager.
Complete H&S care cards for all hazards seen across the site.
Report accidents & incidents; and any positive or negative observations around the site.
Support and engage in the Zero to Landfill.
Effectively communicate with relevant stakeholders.
Contribute to a culture of quality through talking about the importance of accuracy & service.
Help drive cost improvements initiatives i.e., OPEX and Business Improvement to support the growth of the business through engaging and cooperating in all cost improvement activities.Skills & Experience preferred:
Technical understanding of Digital and / or Flexo Printing processes is a key requirement.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Color Cert & overseeing Color Cert Library.
Completing Monthly Net profiler calibration.
Proven experience as a QA Assistant or relevant role.
Knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards
