Technical Sales Engineer (Industrial Welding Sector)
North Birmingham/Stafford/Manchester/Sheffield – Field Based
£40,000 - £50,000 per annum – basic/OTE £55,000 per annum

Business Development for Welding equipment in a defined territory
Promote welding propositions to UK Welding Distributors
Promote welding to the UK’s end users.
Direct contact with Distributors and end-user customers.
Liaising with all members of the team, including International colleagues.
Working closely with the UK Field based Sales Team to enhance business opportunities.
Working closely with the Divisional Manager to implement agreed strategy.
Visiting and enhancing relationships with defined customers.
Perform demonstrations of Industrial Machines to achieve sales.
To promote and present the products to Distributors and End User customers and prospects.
Presentation/Business relationship building/sales of machinery, accessories and consumables.
Acquire and maintain expert knowledge of Industrial welding equipment
Providing technical advice to new and existing customers.
Troubleshooting to support customers – nationally via telephone/email or onsite visits.
Providing training for customers at client sites.
Business development and customer retention.
Providing technical training to Internal sales staff/after sales and customer services Internally
Attending Customer Trade Shows and Open Days
Providing close feedback to Research & Development teams on site
Factfind and feedback on competitor information.
Report writing
Skills required:
Background in Industrial Technical Field Sales
Preference given to those with previous Sales experience within the Tooling Industry
Preference given to those with a background within Welding/Automotive
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Confident/Professional/Assertive
