This is an exciting opportunity to be the go-to person for IT support, helping staff across the business with their technical needs while playing a vital role in maintaining and improving IT systems. The role
As the IT Support, you’ll be the first point of contact for IT-related issues across the business. Whether you’re helping staff with hardware or software issues, setting up new users, or maintaining the network, your expertise will keep the business running smoothly. Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll be doing:
Key responsibilities
* Provide first and second-line IT support, logging and assigning tickets, and escalating urgent calls when necessary.
* Offer hands-on assistance with a wide range of hardware and software issues, ensuring a seamless user experience.
* Configure and manage desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and more using imaging software.
* Diagnose and fix network and VOIP phone issues, as well as manage IT hardware repairs and liaise with suppliers.
* Onboard new staff by setting up user accounts and ensuring their systems are ready to go.
* Maintain and update IT documentation, the IT knowledge base, and systems like SharePoint and Wiki.
* Participate in exciting IT projects and help test new software and hardware.
* Ensure IT security standards are met
The ideal candidate
- You’re a team player who enjoys working closely with others to solve problems.
- You have a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- You have a basic understanding of computer hardware and software.
- Customer service is key—you’ll be the IT lifeline for the team, so a helpful attitude is a must!
