Raw Materials Coordinator

Job Summary:

365 People are currently recruiting for an experienced Raw Materials Coordinator to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, inventory management, and logistics of raw materials required for production.

This role ensures that the company maintains an adequate supply of raw materials to meet production schedules while optimizing costs and minimizing waste.

Hours:

Monday to Friday – 09.00 – 17.30

This is an ongoing temporary position which may lead to full time employment.

Requirements:

* Full UK Drivers licence

* Valid FLT license

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement and Supplier Management:

* Source and evaluate suppliers of raw materials, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.

* Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers.

* Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Inventory Management:

* Monitor raw material inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.

* Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

* Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce holding costs.

Logistics and Supply Chain Coordination:

* Coordinate the transportation and delivery of raw materials to ensure timely arrival at production facilities.

* Work closely with the logistics team to manage inbound shipments and resolve any delivery issues.

* Track and report on key supply chain metrics, such as lead times, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover rates.

Cost Management:

* Monitor raw material costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.

* Assist in budgeting and forecasting raw material expenses.

Quality Assurance:

* Ensure that all raw materials meet the company’s quality standards and specifications.

* Coordinate with quality control teams to resolve any quality issues with suppliers.

* Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material quality.

Documentation and Reporting:

* Maintain accurate records of all raw material transactions, including purchase orders, delivery receipts, and inventory reports.

* Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, procurement activities, and supply chain performance.
