Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Deputy Nurse Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in elderly care, with specific knowledge and experience in managing dementia. This role combines clinical and supernumerary shifts to ensure the highest standards of care are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, manage, and support the nursing team in providing exceptional care to residents.
• Ensure all clinical practices are in line with current guidelines and standards.
• Oversee medication management, wound care, and other clinical interventions.
• Implement and oversee specialized dementia care programs tailored to individual resident needs.
• Train and support staff in dementia care best practices.
• Develop and maintain a stimulating and supportive environment for residents with dementia.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all care activities and processes comply with CQC regulations and other relevant legislation.
Prepare for and participate in inspections and reviews.
Quality Improvement:

Continuously evaluate and improve care practices to enhance resident outcomes.
Lead quality improvement initiatives and projects within the home.
Supernumerary Duties:
• Assist the Nurse Manager in the overall management of the nursing home.
• Participate in staff recruitment, training, and development programs.
• Conduct regular audits to maintain high standards of care and compliance with regulations.
• Act as a point of contact for residents' families, addressing any concerns and ensuring effective communication.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN.
• Proven experience in a senior nursing role within a care home or similar setting.
• In-depth knowledge of dementia care and best practices.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
