Fostering Team Manager

Location: (Flexible Hybrid Working Available) Birmingham Based Company

Salary: £47,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fostering Team Manager to join our dedicated team.

Role Overview:

As the Fostering Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and supporting our fostering team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and fostering services. You will manage and lead a team of social workers, working closely with foster carers, children, and other stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for all involved.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead, manage, and support a team of social workers and fostering practitioners, providing guidance, supervision, and performance management.

* Ensure the delivery of high-quality fostering services in line with statutory requirements, regulatory standards, and agency policies.

* Develop and implement strategies to enhance team performance and service delivery.

* Monitor and review fostering assessments, placements, and casework, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.

* Facilitate training and professional development for team members, promoting continuous improvement and learning.

* Work collaboratively with foster carers, children, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support and address any issues or concerns.

* Contribute to the development and implementation of the agency's strategic objectives and operational plans.

* Prepare and present reports for management meetings, ensuring accurate and timely communication of key information and performance metrics.

Key Requirements:

* Social Work Qualification: You must be a qualified social worker, registered with the appropriate professional body.

* Experience: Previous experience in a team manager role within an independent fostering agency (IFA) is highly preferred.

* Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.

* Knowledge: In-depth understanding of fostering regulations, child protection, and relevant legislation.

* Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.

* Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time management abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
