Spencer Clarke Group are on the lookout for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will work with a specialist and complex caseload of young adults, including those with Autism, learning difficulties, and other diagnoses, including behaviours that challenge. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality care, using a Total Communication Approach, and supporting the use of Voice Output Devices and Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC).
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a specialist caseload of young adults with Autism, learning difficulties, and other complex diagnoses.
Provide assessments, diagnostics, and tailored advice for students on your caseload.
Plan, deliver, and monitor individual and group therapy sessions as appropriate.
Utilise the Total Communication Approach to enhance communication and engagement.
Support the use of Voice Output Devices, including iPads and tablets, as part of AAC strategies.
Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with other professionals in residential homes and classes.
Liaise with external agencies to promote positive practice and ensure cohesive care.
Provide advice and support to families as necessary.
Attend and contribute to Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings, staff meetings, continuing professional development (CPD) sessions, and in-service training.
Prepare clinical reports for initial assessments, reviews, Continuing Healthcare (CHC), and Looked After Children (LAC) purposes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical notes, adhering to professional standards and guidelines.
Stay informed about new techniques and research to maintain and promote best practices, recording these on the Professional Log of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
Ensure adherence to quality guidelines and care standards, contributing to quality assurance and clinical audits as necessary.
Keep statistical information and client records updated in line with organizational requirements.Qualifications and Experience:

Degree within Speech and Language Therapy.
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
