Payroll & Benefits Manager | Full-time | Permanent | Hybrid (London) | Up to £70,000

Ashley Kate is excited to be partnering with a leading firm in search of a Payroll & Benefits Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will take ownership of payroll services, ensuring smooth collaboration between the HR and Central Finance teams. You'll manage the full payroll and benefits provision, working in a fast-paced environment with high-volume payrolls.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone with strong payroll expertise and a passion for improving processes and supporting teams. Please note that travel to multiple sites, including Milton Keynes once per month, will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and process monthly payrolls across various cost centres.
Support the Head of HR Operations in calculating employee commissions and bonuses.
Respond to employee payroll queries.
Maintain payroll-related matters within SAP SuccessFactors.
Ensure payroll tax compliance (P11D, P45, P60, etc.).
Produce monthly finance journals, reconciliations, and reports for the Central Finance department.
Provide expert advice on legal compliance and emerging benefit trends.
Manage relationships with the firm's benefits broker and pension provider.
Collaborate with key business areas to streamline and improve processes.
Work closely with HR on absence, maternity/paternity, and other payroll and benefits matters.
Provide regular reports to the Head of HR Operations and senior leadership.
Ensure effective communication of updates across the firm.
Support the implementation of new systems and process improvements.
Continuously identify ways to improve payroll processes.

About You:

Proven experience in payroll management.
Expertise in managing end-to-end flexible benefits.
Strong report production and analytical skills.
Commercial mindset with a solution-oriented approach.
Excellent technical knowledge of payroll legislation and requirements.
Ability to solve complex payroll and benefits queries.
Confident in making manual payroll calculations when necessary.
Strong communication skills, including liaison with HMRC.
Experience in a payroll office, bureau, or practice environment.
Initiative-driven with strong process management abilities.
SAP Payroll software experience (essential).
High proficiency in IT (MS Word, Outlook, and especially Excel).
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
