We are currently looking for an experienced Central Finance Analyst to join our team based in Solihull, Birmingham (hybrid working pattern 2 days in the office per week).

Main ResponsibilitiesThe Central Finance Analyst will provide reporting and analytical support across the Cement and Packed Products business. In particular they will lead on Capital Expenditure, Powders Business Unit support, month end reporting support. Working closely with the UK Finance Leader, wider UK finance team and operational stakeholders in timely, accurate provision of financial reporting, analysis and insight.

Provide reporting, analysis and insight to support Powders Business acting as the lead finance business partner
Own the end to end management Cement, Packed, Powders Capital Expenditure Reporting, Forecasting, Budgeting. Also take ownership of the Capex portal administration

Responsible for the completion of relevant Monthly / Quarterly / Annual SOx controls within Capital Expenditure, including but not exclusive to, Fixed Asset Verification

Lead / support Cement business with the completion of Monthly EXQL KPI reporting as required by Group

Support wider UK finance team with the month end EXQL reporting requirements including ownership of Powders submission
Support the production of the month end reporting pack and other standardised reports, providing commentary and analysis on performance as required

Analysing trends and performance to feed into forecasts and long-term financial planning

Lead / Support the UK Finance Leader on monthly reporting / budgeting / forecasting of Cement and Packed Products support costs

As key member of the UK finance team ensure that all budgeting / forecasting requirements are met with specific responsibility on Capital Expenditure and the Powders Business Unit.

The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self starter with strong analytical, accounting

and financial modelling skills and is comfortable working in a fast paced corporate environment

Essential experience:

Preferably a part qualified accountant / finalist or Qualified by Experience with relevant financial reporting

/ business partnering experience ( ACA ACCA or CIMA)

Experience in financial reporting, supporting month end completion, forecast / budget creation, ensuring compliance with corporate / external reporting frameworks Advanced Excel skills with experience both creating and updating financial models The ability to learn and map end to end financial and system processes Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to identify and drive process change and improvement Well developed communication skills with demonstrable stakeholder engagement and management skills Experience with using data query/ management tools (e.g. Business warehouse, Access, SQL, Business Objects) and a financial ERP system

Desirable experience:

Previous experience with managing Capital Investment budgets / programs Previous experience within the Cement, Powders, Quarrying, Building products industry Experience of working in a challenging matrix environment / large business plc. Experience with SAP/ business warehouse Business Partnering experience
