We are looking for an experienced Import Clerk to join our well-established client in the farnborough area. The successful candidate will handle import operations, ensuring smooth customs procedures and documentation for the company.
This role is a fully office-based role, where you will be expected to get on and do what you are good at. Our client is a freight forwarding, warehousing & logistics business that is making freight & storage for a competitive price tag.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process import shipments and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
* Manage customs declarations using the Customs Declaration Service (CDS)
* Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and transport companies to coordinate efficient movement of goods.
* Handle shipment documentation, including bills of lading and invoices.
* Communicate with suppliers and customers to resolve any import-related issues.
* Maintain accurate records of import transactions.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in handling imports.
* Proficient in using CDS for customs clearance.
* Strong understanding of import procedures and regulations.
* Experience in multimodal transport (air, sea, road) is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.

Knowledge of Sequoia an advantage.
This role is very hands-on, and is for someone that is able to manage multiple shipments at the time. They are moving fast, so get apply below!
